The Domestic Landscape

Why are economic policies critical in improving living standards?

A strong economy means long-term prosperity for Americans. As such, pro-growth economic policies are the critical foundation for raising living standards, growing government revenue for necessary national purposes, and reducing social conflict over the distribution of wealth.

What must the government do to restore prosperity?

The government must control its spending and reduce the nation’s debt. Consequences caused by taxes more focused on the income distribution than their economic distortions must be mitigated. Regulations must be more explicit and cost-effective. Moreover, financial regulations must be re-evaluated, and benefits from free trade must be maintained.

In health care, centralized models based on misguided incentive must be replaced to one of individual empowerment with personal responsibility.
