Chapter Two: How Has Automation Changed the Manufacturing Sector?

Manufacturing jobs have dramatically declined in recent years, and these losses have affected the employment rates of prime-age workers. Younger workers without a high school degree have been negatively impacted the most by manufacturing employment changes, while high-skilled workers have become more in demand.
